Down and Out...

Argh!!!! Why did it have to happen now!? I have a presentation to do today and I can't get to the office. I freakin' caught the flu. Note to self, when travelling for business purposes abroad, make sure to take your vitamins. You don't want to get stuck in a hotel tending to a flu or fever when you have a major project in your hand. Funny thing is, everyone back in the Philippines was catching the bug. I figured I wouldn't catch it since I'm here. Seems like everyone here is getting sick as well.

Anywayz, I'm gonna get some rest...argh. No I won't. I have to finish this manual for this project I'm doing. Sigh...no rest for the weary.

New Toy

Here's something that I thought I'd share to the gadget freaks and roadwarriors out there. It's called a Palm TX. It's got everything that a travelling professional and gadget aficionado would ever want. It's got Bluetooth and it's got wifi integrated into it. So if ever you're in a wifi hotspot, just go ahead log on and surf away. One of the best things that I like about this PDA is the fact that you can switch from portrait to landscape view. Very nice indeed. Anyway, check it out on: http://www.palm.com/us/products/handhelds/tx/

Here's a quick glimpse of my new toy.

Until I get enough doughage for an Apple iBook, I'll stick to this cool tool.

Implementation: Phase II

Ok, so this is my 2nd post. Whee!! So today has been somewhat painful for me. I'm sick, I have a flu but I have to go to work. I have a major implementation project to do and I have to make sure it is successful. This phase two of my project is basically the bread and butter of our account. The account I started. If this project is a success, it opens up possibilities and opportunities for the guys on the operations floor. Well...that and the fact that I'll be able to put this under my belt as one of my biggest successes.

The pressure has definitely been heavy. It's much heavier than phase 1. Let's put it this way, this time, it's implementation for both my client and my company. That and the fact that a lot of money is riding on this one...literally. Take a BMW salesman who's got a potential buyer checking out a 700 series. The buyer is 90% sold. All he has to do is take it for a test run. During the test run, you got one of the rims shooting off to one side, a few dashboard lights blink like crazy and smoke starts to come out of the hood. Now you've just lost a $80k deal that was right in the palm of your hands. Pretty heavy huh? Take that analogy for example and multiply it by 10. That's how heavy this project is. Did I mention that I'm all alone here in Irvine, California?

Well in any case, work is good. Really it is. I'm happy about it. I just wish that the client had certain processes already in place to make the transitions smoother. But then again, I should thank them for all the work. It builds character and it definitely builds skill and something to put on my resume.

My First...

And so this is the beginning of my blog. Not necessarily the beginning of my life. Just the beginning of what I have and can share. I really had no intention of creating one but being millions of miles away from the person that I Love and care deeply about, not to mention the one who keeps me occupied, gives me the opportunity to share what my last 27 years of my life has been like.

I have a feeling this blog is going to be long considering that I'll be posting separate posts for the different aspects and events of my life.

What's up with title you ask? Well let's just say that every event that has come upon me has always been something new, something eventful and sometimes sudden.

Hmm...not to cut this short but I really should be hitting the sack. I do have work tomorrow and I have a major project I should be focusing on. Additionally, it's a bit of a pain typing all of this up with a stylus and a pda rather than a desktop or laptop.

Anyway, I bid all of you goodnight or day, whatever hemisphere it is you happen to be on. I shall continue my blog tomorrow, time permitting of course.

As for my Love, take care. I miss you dearly.
